Manual Osteopath
Jason Yang
Jason Yang is a Manual Osteopath who graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in 2023. His deep passion for understanding the human body drives his commitment to helping others heal. Having experienced the benefits of Manual Osteopathy firsthand while recovering from athletic injuries, Jason is dedicated to applying these techniques in his practice.
Before specializing in osteopathy, Jason studied as a Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant at Algonquin College. He actively engages with the volleyball community, coaching both the Ottawa Mavericks Volleyball Club and the St. Laurent Academy Jr/Sr Boys Volleyball team. Additionally, he is a member of the Carleton University Men’s Volleyball treatment team, where he prepares players for competitions.
Jason’s treatment approach integrates a variety of techniques, including Muscle Energy Techniques, cupping, myofascial release, blading, cranial work, fascial stretch therapy, personalized exercise plans and many more. He is passionate about continuous learning and regularly takes courses to expand his skill set, enabling him to serve a diverse clientele.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys playing basketball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, golf, badminton, bodybuilding, and has recently taken up pickleball. With a specialization in treating athletes and musculoskeletal conditions, he draws from a broad range of experiences to effectively address various injuries.
Massage Therapist
johanna potetsianakis
Joanna Potetsianakis is a graduate of Kiné Concept Institute of Massage Therapy. She has been in practice since 2009 and is a member of the RMTAO, (Registered Massage Therapy Association of Ontario) and is in good standing with her regulatory body the CMTO, (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario).
Over the course of her career Johanna has completed several courses for myofascial release and trigger point therapy. She integrates both modalities into her treatments to help with a wide range of injuries and conditions, including muscle strains and sprains, pinched nerves, TMJ, whiplash, tendinitis, migraines, plantar fasciitis, ITB syndrome, post surgery recovery (including scar treatments), as well as general treatments for maintenance. In her leisure time, she enjoys pilates, swimming, reading a good book or heading out into nature for some fresh air and walking trails.
Resident Physiotherapist
Dhara Patel
Dhara, Resident Physiotherapist, graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India in 2020. She furthered her education by completing a Fitness and Health Promotion certification from Algonquin College in 2023.
Dhara takes a patient-centered approach, conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized treatment plans to meet individual goals. She combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to promote recovery, prevent injuries, and enhance long-term well-being.
With expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Dhara is committed to improving function and quality of life. She emphasizes the importance of movement and exercise for maintaining overall health.
Outside the clinic, Dhara enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and discovering different cuisines, bringing a well-rounded and empathetic approach to her care.
Reflexologist
Per Bergstrom
Per Bergstrom is a Registered Reflexology Practitioner (RRPr) and a recent graduate of the School of Complementary Therapies in Ottawa. His background includes Applied Kinesiology, having graduated from the Swedish School of Kinesiology in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Finance) from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He also has experience as an NCAA swimmer, where he developed a deep appreciation for hard work, dedication, and the struggles that come with pushing the body to its limits.
His journey into reflexology stems from a passion for holistic healing and personal experiences with health challenges. Through his practice, he has helped clients find relief from chronic pain, headaches, stress, sleep issues, neuropathy, and sciatica, and improving their overall well-being.
Per Bergstrom is currently exploring yoga as a way to further develop his spiritual life and deepen his understanding of mind-body balance. His goal is to create a calm, supportive space where each session is tailored to your unique needs. He is currently married with two children, which further fuels his commitment to health, well-being, and balance in life.
ACupuncturist
Mien Chiu Chiang
(Mina)
Mina graduated with the Executive Director’s Award of Academic Excellence from the International Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is an instructor who teaches the acupuncture program at TriOS College. She was a hospital nurse and a CPR instructor for the Red Cross in Taiwan. She is experienced with treating various conditions including musculoskeletal pain management, mental health, gastrointestinal disorders, reproductive system illness, tiredness, paralysis, insomnia, depression, low immunity, and so on.
She helps her patients enhance their body’s natural healing abilities with modalities such as Gua Sha, bleed cupping, moxa, heat lamps, and ear seeds.
